Nikhil Koratkar

 

Aerospace alum Nikhil Koratkar (M.S. '98; Ph.D. '00) was named the John A. Clark and Edward T. Crossan Professor of Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Koratkar joined the Rensselaer Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering in 2001 as an assistant professor. He was named associate professor in 2006 and full professor in 2009, and currently holds a joint appointment as a full professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He is also the winner of the 2009 SES Young Investigator Award from the Electrochemical Society (ECS) Division of Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes and Nanostructures.
