Dr. Norman M. Wereley, Techno-Sciences Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Associate Chair, along with Dr. Benjamin K.S. Woods (Ph.D.'12), currently a post-doctoral researcher at Swansea University in Wales, and Dr. Curt Kothera, currently at Techno-Sciences Inc., are the recipients of the 2012 ASME Best Paper Award in Structural Dynamics and Control. The citation is below:

This award, administered by the ASME Adaptive Structures and Material Systems Technical Committee, was announced on March 13, 2012. The award consisting of a plaque and a $500 check that will be presented at the ASME 2012 Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems Conference in Stone Mountain, Georgia from September 19-21, 2012.

This is another example of a great collaboration between the University of Maryland and Techno-Sciences Inc.!
